Cross Wrap delivers automated Bale Dewiring Solution to support Circulose’s commercial restart at Ortviken textile recycling plant

Cross Wrap, a leading provider of automated bale handling solutions, is proud to support Circulose’s restart of commercial-scale operations at its Ortviken textile recycling facility in Sundsvall, Sweden. Cross Wrap delivers a market-leading automated bale infeeding and dewiring solution for recycled textile bales, improving efficiency and safety at the very beginning of the recycling process.

Circulose recently announced the resumption of operations at its state-of-the-art Ortviken plant, marking a major milestone for the global textile recycling industry. The facility will produce CIRCULOSE®, a high-quality dissolving pulp made entirely from discarded cotton textiles, with production planned to restart in Q4 2026 as part of the company’s strategy to scale sustainable materials for the fashion and textile supply chain.

To ensure efficient preprocessing and smooth material flow, Cross Wrap supplies its proven Cross Dewiring Machine, designed to safely and efficiently remove wires from recycled textile bales, together with a tailor-made conveyor system feeding material to shredding and further processing.
