Cross Wrap’s roots run deep in Eastern Finland, an area known for engineering expertise, industrial craftsmanship and a strong hands-on culture with a practical, common-sense mindset. For more than three decades, these values have shaped the way Cross Wrap designs and manufactures its machinery: with reliability, a focus on quality, and a commitment to saying what we do – and doing what we say.

As manufacturing philosophy is built on collaboration, Cross Wrap’s market and customer knowledge are combined with in-house design, engineering, automation, and electrical expertise, as well as close cooperation with trusted steel structure and assembly partners, and component manufacturers. This makes our processes flexible and easy to adapt to changing customer needs.

Cross Wrap’s Strong Local Partnerships

KATERA STEEL

One of our most important local partners is Katera Steel, our main production partner located in Kajaani. Working side by side since early 90’s, the collaboration has evolved into something far deeper than a typical supplier relationship. Over the years, we have continuously refined our processes and built a strong mutual understanding.

With the opening of a new, modern facility in Kajaani, this nearly 30-year partnership between Katera Steel and Cross Wrap has entered a new phase, with an even stronger focus on customer experience.

As Mikko Julkunen, CEO of Katera Steel, puts it:

That philosophy becomes tangible during key moments such as Factory Acceptance Tests. When customers visit the new production facilities, they do not just see machines, they see also the modern, purpose-built environment where the machinery is designed and manufactured.

METALLITYÖ VAINIO

Another partner we would like to highlight is Metallityö Vainio, a family-owned company and a local partner from Eastern Finland serving as a contract manufacturer for international export markets. Both of our companies share a strong growth mindset, and together we enable growth for each other.

Like Katera Steel, Metallityö Vainio is a versatile partner, offering flexibility in operations and the ability to deliver everything from individual components to large, complex assemblies. Their capability to manage extensive projects and adapt quickly to changing needs makes them a valuable long-term partner.
