Why automated board packaging changes the game for good?
Recyclable film replaces straps, corner protectors, and covers. It is easier to manage since there is only one type of material to purchase, store, and keep in stock. Eliminating extra materials also lowers handling and warehousing expenses. On top of that, monomaterial keeps the package aligned with where EU packaging regulation (PPWR) is heading: fewer materials per package.
Full six-side film wrapping seals the package tight against moisture, dust, and dirt. The protection holds in outdoor storage and through transport, stacking, and multiple handlings, whether the journey is a hundred kilometers by road or across the ocean.

We have chosen stretch film for several reasons, with durability and versatility being the most significant. In the context of wrapping, it’s essential to consider what the film replaces: straps, corner protectors, covers, and mixed materials that are difficult to recycle as a package. Plastic film is recyclable, and there are options available that are made from recycled plastic.
Film is the only material we have found that reliably protects boards on all six sides. It seals against moisture, dust, and dirt, holds through transport and outdoor storage, and keeps the package tidy from the mill to the end customer. Where protection is the job, film simply does it best, and the wrapping process makes sure no package uses more of it than needed.

The packaging line has a modular design that can be tailored to the production flow. Feeding and outfeed conveyors, weighing units, and labeling options can be added to match the production needs.
Several factors affect film consumption, and the settings can be adjusted according to each customer’s packaging needs. Film thickness also affects the total film consumption in kilograms – the thinner the film, the less material is used.
The machine can also adjust the film tension according to the packaging requirements, helping optimize film usage while maintaining the required package quality and protection.
For each customer, we provide recommendations and carry out test runs during machine commissioning to find the optimal settings. We also work closely with stretch film manufacturers to continuously develop the machine-film combination and achieve the best possible packaging result with the lowest practical amount of film.
Depending on the required features and customer needs, the basic wrapping unit with a turning table requires approximately Width 5 m x Length 8 m of floor space. Additional equipment such as conveyors, labeling units, and other optional features will increase the total space requirement.
