TWO SITES – TWO CW BALE WRAPPERS TO PACK MSW
Located in Argentina, ARX Arcillex S.A. is a pioneer in managing urban solid waste (MSW) and in RDF production. The company has been operating in Argentina since 1966 and was formerly a manufacturer of Superlec klinkerizada expanded clay. Today the company is also known for working in the urban solid waste management business.
Cross Wrap has been the choice of wrapping machinery for ARX Arcillex’s operations in MSW management and recently in its operation to formulate recovered solid fuel (RDF).
UP TO 1000 TONS PER DAY OF WRAPPING MSW
The Arcillex plant in Ensenada operates efficiently in three shifts and handles the waste collected from the five surrounding municipalities. This plant processes more than 1,000 tons of waste per day that are bale and wrapped to be transferred to their destination in a dry landfill called the Cantera Landfill and the CEAMSE landfill.
ARX Arcillex company purchased the first Cross Wrap 2200 automatic bale wrapper nearly four years ago, and the machine has been working non-stop, ensuring a high-performance process. This Cross Wrap machine located in Ensenada has been the second for Arcillex and has proven to be a simple machine to use and effective for its purpose.
Arcillex Ensenada plant manager, Mr. Ricardo L. Mattiuzzi, gives Cross Wrap high marks for being a reliable machine and performing well to complement Kadant’s HTR 700 industrial baler. In addition, with the high-quality and straightforward user interface that Cross Wrap wrappers have, it receives a good rating from Arcillex.
The company’s operations supervisor in Ensenada, Mr. Emmanuel Mendoza, says that the Cross Wrap machine is reliable, easy to operate, and has readily available parts. He also commends Cross Wrap’s good service for any scheduling needs. He also finds the machine very adaptable to materials and requirements.
He also claims that the Cross Wrap machine is easy for anyone with a basic understanding of modern technology and only requires a little training to operate.
THE FIRST CW 2200 TO WRAP MSW
The first CW 2200 was acquired by ARX Arcillex S.A. Approximately one year before Ensenada. It is in operation at the CEAMSE facilities in Zavaleta, in the City of Buenos Aires, and is also dedicated to wrapping MSW.
In both cases, Cross Wrap machinery is used to automate and streamline plant processes and achieve real product quality and operation results. Today, the company’s operations have shifted primarily to MSW handling, with both CW bale wrappers being used for baling and wrapping solid waste in a dry landfill.
CROSS WRAP IS THE PERFECT SOLUTION FOR DRY FILLING AND MSW WRAPPING
The waste management operation of Arcillex S.A. uses Cross Wrap bale wrappers as they give the best result. The customizable wrapping schedule helps optimize film consumption, and the fast wrapping cycle delivers high throughput.
Cross Wrap bales are tight-fitting and secure baled material without leachate, odors, or waste. Crosswrapping results in a suitable solution for dry landfills, where the cubic shape of the bale helps keep the density of the dump as high as possible. The Cross Wrap solution is also the most widely used bale wrapping worldwide.
