ARX Arcillex S.A., headquartered in Argentina with operations in Ensenada (Buenos Aires) and the city of Buenos Aires, is a pioneer in municipal solid waste (MSW) treatment and solid recovered fuel (SRF) production. The company selected a pair of Cross Wrap Bale Wrappers to automate its bales-wrapping of MSW, supported by Cross Wrap’s service network in Latin America.
ARX Arcillex’s Ensenada plant processes over 800–1,000 tonnes of MSW per day, operating three shifts and collecting from five surrounding municipalities. For a dry landfill regime and outbound waste fuel logistics, the company needed a bale-wrapping system that could:
Cross Wrap delivered two Bale Wrappers into ARX’s two sites (Zavaleta in Buenos Aires and Ensenada) to streamline the MSW wrapping process. The machines are fully automatic, tailored with custom programs to optimise film usage and enable dense, cube-shaped bales (≈ 1.1 × 1.1 m) suitable for dry landfill application. Plant leadership reported that the machines have operated continuously for several years, delivering high reliability, ease of use and full spare-parts support from Cross Wrap.
The Cross Wrap machine is reliable and easy to operate, and the spare parts are rapidly available. Also the service from Cross Wrap satisfies all our scheduling needs
