Poly Recycling AG, Switzerland

Poly Recycling AG (Switzerland) automated PET bale dewiring at its Bilten, Canton Glarus plant with the Bale Dewiring, delivered in December 2018, to improve infeed, safety, and process control.

Challenge

Manual wire cutting gave limited safety and inconsistency. The plant needed a safer, fully automatic dewiring solution that would stabilize PET infeed, enhance traceability and quality, and reduce wear and operating costs.

Solution

Cross Wrap’s Bale Dewiring automatically cuts, separates, and coils bale wires, keeping metal out of the PET stream and easing handling. The line maintains a 20 bale/ hour infeed for tightly wired PET bales (approx. 110×70×60 cm), improving overall efficiency.

Key takeaway

Automated dewiring increased safety and reliability while lowering costs and maintenance- delivering cleaner material flow, better traceability, and smoother operations for Poly Recycling AG.

In our case, the Bale Dewiring has been a cherry on top of our cake… We want to boost working safety and production efficiency, and for now, we can certainly say that this has come true by choosing Cross Wrap Dewiring.
